此前已有消息称，首次使用该主机的用户在开机前，用户必须连接互联网，这意味着，使用户能够存储并运行大容量游戏内容。首日更新将至少开放MicroSD Express卡的使用权限，必须将设备接入网络，最新曝光的Switch 2包装盒上明确标注，首批购买Switch 2的用户在初次设置时，方可启用存储卡及其他相关功能。
